TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION |
|
This Tony Castro designed yacht is manufactured to a very high standard using Isophalic Resin GRP/Balsa Cored sandwich for the hull and deck construction to ensure superior strength with stiffness as well as a weight advantage. Its fully moulded interior provides good sound and thermal insulation as well as anticondensation properties. Additional hull stiffening has been included and the deck has a moulded nonslip finish. The keel is available 'in either an antimony hardened lead, semielliptical format or as a cast iron, winged shallow draft form, both designed to provide a high righting moment. |

Spars |
|
Supplied with silver anodised aluminium performance mast, boom and spinnaker pole. The modern fractional design with sweptback spreaders eliminates the need for runners. |

Standing Rigging |
|
1 x 19 stainless steel wire is used with role swaged terminals and fitted to stainless steel rigging screws. Roller furling headstay, if fitted as an optional extra. |

Running Rigging |
|
This comprises of 1 mainsail, 1 spinnaker and 2 genoa halyards, together with spinnaker pole up and down hauls, led aft under protective covering and fitted with jamming cleats. A rigid adjustable kicker strut is fitted. |

Sails |
|
An automatic reefing mainsail and self tacking jib are fitted as standard. |

Deck Equipment |
|
Deck protection is by stainless steel pushpit and pulpit with double plastic coated stainless steel guardwires, many handholds and runner free side decks. Four mooring cleats are fitted and warps and fenders are supplied as standard. A large bow well is provided for the stowage of the anchor and optional windlass. The large ergonomically designed, selfdraining cockpit is fitted with large side lockers. It houses the steering wheel pedestal (on which are mounted the compass and engine controls) as well as twospeed sheet and halyard winches, radiused main sheet track and the purpose built stowage for the liferaft or inflatable dingy. Outboard draining stowage for two gas bottles with remote control is also provided. A boarding platform on the transom is fitted with a stainless steel folding bathing ladder. A double sliding hatch leads to the cabin. |
